About the Role:
The Oracle Application Database Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases, ensuring their optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle application systems, database management, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex database-related issues. The DBA works closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth database operations and efficient data management.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Oracle databases
- Maintain and optimize database performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Collaborate with application developers and system administrators
- Update DBA Processes/Standards and documents (DBA Run book, Cloning, Upgrades, Issues/Resolutions)
- Monitor and troubleshoot Concurrent Manager Problems, Performance, Errors
- Delivery and management of project instances.
- Plan, enhance and execute database monitoring and alerts
- Ensure data security and integrity
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of Oracle application systems
- 5 years of experience in database administration or in a similar role.
- Oracle administration experience on 12c databases
- Single node & Multi Node cloning of Oracle Apps Instances in Normal and Shared Appleton Architecture.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Oracle database administration
- Experience with performance tuning
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
