Oracle Application Database Administrator

About the Role:

The Oracle Application Database Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases, ensuring their optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle application systems, database management, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex database-related issues. The DBA works closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth database operations and efficient data management.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Oracle databases
• Maintain and optimize database performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Collaborate with application developers and system administrators
• Update DBA Processes/Standards and documents (DBA Run book, Cloning, Upgrades, Issues/Resolutions)
• Monitor and troubleshoot Concurrent Manager Problems, Performance, Errors
• Delivery and management of project instances.
• Plan, enhance and execute database monitoring and alerts
• Ensure data security and integrity

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Oracle application systems
• 5 years of experience in database administration or in a similar role.
• Oracle administration experience on 12c databases
• Single node & Multi Node cloning of Oracle Apps Instances in Normal and Shared Appleton Architecture.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Oracle database administration
• Experience with performance tuning
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
