Paralegal | MAF Retail | Corporate Head Ofice
Role Summary
Paralegal provides core legal support to the Legal Department including research, documentation, drafting, and the administrative management and maintenance of legal documents.
ROLE PROFILE
- Assist the team by preparing draft contracts, agreements and notices as required in a timely manner and ensuring that they are compliant with internal standards and legal requirements.
- Review and proofread contracts and other legal documents for terms and conditions that may be areas of concern, clarity of content and grammar, and highlights the same for subsequent review and action.
- Ensure internal legal process is followed and tasks are completed within the deadlines.
- Liaises with relevant stakeholders across the company to highlight discrepancies in contractual and legal documentation of contracting parties.
- Report any actions that might interfere with the operations of the company
- Archive various legal approvals and transaction details in a manner that enables ease of reference for subsequent use.
- Conduct legal research and keep abreast with all regulatory and local law related updates / changes which might impact the legal terms and conditions for contracts and highlights them within the Department.
- Apply and follow company's Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience as paralegal in a legal firm or a service oriented organization.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English.
