Job Overview
As a Spare Parts Counter Advisor for Caterpillar machines, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and expertise in identifying, sourcing, and selling spare parts for Caterpillar heavy machinery. You will be responsible for assisting customers in finding the right parts and contributing to the overall success of our parts department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their spare parts needs, offering expert guidance and product recommendations.
- Parts Identification: Utilize your knowledge and experience to accurately identify the correct spare parts based on customer requests and equipment specifications.
- Order Processing: Process parts orders, providing customers with pricing, delivery estimates, and order status updates.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Team on any special delivery requests from customers.
- Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to customers, addressing questions related to parts compatibility and other repair options.
- Cross-Selling: Promote additional products and services, such as maintenance kits and accessories, to increase sales revenue.
- Documentation: Complete paperwork and maintain electronic records of sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and country rules and regulations (VAT law).
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, resolving issues, and addressing customer concerns.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest Caterpillar products, developments, and industry trends to provide informed assistance to customers.
Qualification and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in spare parts sales & customer service, preferably in the heavy machinery or construction industry (ex-Caterpillar dealer experience or similar highly preferred).
- 2-5 years experience in similar role or industry.
- Strong knowledge of spare parts business.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems MS office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving sales targets.
