Responsibilities / Capabilities
- Excellent practical knowledge of RTGS payment systems and their interactions with the wider financial ecosystem.
- Ability to lead and contribute to the product development lifecycle, operations, and testing of AFAQ services.
- High capabilities in setting the strategic payments topology, design, and plans.
- Advanced understanding of risk management, particularly liquidity risk and credit risk, as well as operational risks.
- Expertise with payment, clearing, and settlement systems standards and best practices, particularly the CPMI-IOSCO Principles for FMIs, as well as experience with assessments of compliance with such standards.
- Good knowledge of payment systems operating rules, charging policies, and regulations.
- Developed the ability to draft payment system policies and procedures.
- High skill in presentation, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in payment systems, mainly in RTGSs, ideally with a system operator or a central bank.
- An additional background and experience in retail payment systems, correspondent banking, or financial market infrastructures from an operational, supervisory, or policy perspective would be welcome.
- Proven abilities in project management or risk management would be a plus.
Education and Certifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in business, IT, MIS, law or other related majors.
