We are seeking an experienced Payments Lead to oversee and develop our rent payments infrastructure, including our innovative Rent Now Pay Later product. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in building scalable payment systems and building partnerships across the government and private sector.
- 5-7+ years of experience in building and managing payment systems, ideally within the fintech, proptech, or related industries.
- Proven track record in developing payment infrastructure for a payment gateway, investing platform, or BNPL provider.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing, financial technologies, and industry
trends.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with card payments, bank-to-bank (A2A) payment systems, and other relevant payment methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex financial ecosystems.
- Strategic leadership skills with a strong focus on team mentorship and development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the growth and optimization of our Rent Now Pay Later business unit.
- Design and implement payment flows, integrations, and reconciliation processes
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for tenant screening & payment operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Operations, etc. to align payment solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with payment partners, processors, and regulators.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Analyze payment data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
