We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and will be proficient with systems such as SIFT, Workday, Excel, and budgeting tools. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, handling payroll-related inquiries, and assisting with financial reporting and budgeting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing
- Administer bi-weekly, monthly, or weekly payroll for employees using Workday and SIFT software.
- Ensure all payroll calculations are accurate, including deductions, bonuses, overtime, and benefits.
- Verify employee timesheets and ensure timely submission for payroll processing.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Use SIFT and Workday to manage payroll data, update employee information, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and run payroll reports in Excel and Workday to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the generation of financial reports for budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
- Assist with budget planning and monitoring, tracking payroll expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Provide payroll data and projections for budget analysis and cost control.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses in the company's financial system.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities including tax filings, benefits reporting, and issuing tax documents (W-2, etc.).
- Respond to inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, enhance system functionality, and increase efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on payroll system upgrades and new features in SIFT, Workday, and Excel to optimize workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Strong experience with payroll systems, specifically SIFT and Workday.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and other advanced functions.
- Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting in relation to payroll.
