Payroll Specialist, Human Resources

Job Description

Key Tasks:
  • Perform comprehensive payroll operations, including data collection and maintenance in the system, payroll calculations and validations, and the processing of payment requests and deliveries in an accuracy and timely manner.
Collaborate with local authorities and payroll service providers on pension, social insurance, tax, and other statutory matters.
  • Prepare various payroll-related reports such as reconciliation, movement, headcount, pay summary, cost center allocation, and payroll breakdown reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll data and staff information in the system.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Update and maintain payroll guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external payroll audits
  • Requirements:
Possesses the ability to pay close attention to detail and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of payroll statutory knowledge and extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing for Singapore and Malaysia.
Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Practical experience in payroll outsourcing companies or shared services, especially for MNCs or regional shared service centers, is advantageous.
  • Knowledgeable in compensation, benefits, social security contributions, income tax calculations, and labor laws/regulations in either Singapore or Malaysia.
Capable of managing high-volume payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Action-orientated, detail minded and organized.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders including inter-department and external vendors.
  • Qualifications:
Graduate with a bachelors degree preferred.
  • With approximately 5 years working experience in similar job function
Experience in working in HR Shared Service and/or working with payroll outsourcing vendor is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is mandatory.
* Requires language proficiency in English and Malay.
  • Candidate with Singapore/ Malaysia payroll experience is preferrable

Pay: RM4,
  • 00 - RM5,000.00 per month
