Position Title: PEM Civil/Structural

Reports to (Job Role): Head of Engineering

Reported by (Job Role): Lead Engineers

Education: Bachelor/Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

Experience: 14+ years, experience in Design in construction Industry, Oil and Gas, Power plant background. Exposure to site execution works for 1-2 Years would an added advantage.

Objective: The person shall be responsible for the complete design and detailed engineering for Solar Power plants like Mini Grid and Megawatt scales plants. The Project engineering manager shall manage the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co[1]ordination with other disciplines viz., Electrical, instrumentation and Mechanical Project engineering manager shall lead a team of Lead Engineers, Design Engineers and draftsman to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Work schedule allocation to civil and structure team.

Monitoring on time submission of Design deliverables.

Checking of Bill of Quantity and Material with respect to ACE and previous projects.

Review and monitoring of quantity escalation with respect to ACE, timely reporting to Management for necessary action.

Checking of detailing of drawing for Tracker, fixed module mounting structure, grading and levelling, Foundation marking, equipment structure and foundation for all buildings and substation in solar power plant projects.

Review of Pre-bid queries, DBR, BOQ & Scope of work for Proposal Engineering & Project Engineering.

Propose optimization Ideas during Pre-bid stage to reduce the BOS cost.

Checking design conformity to ISO Quality standards & contract technical specification.

Interaction with client for drawing approval & clarification.

Interaction with site for clarification on drawing.

Interaction with SCM for clarification on drawing.

Site visits for pre-feasibility study of projects & obstacles.

Site visit during the course of project for accelerating the site progress.

Site visit for Asset Management &Analysis.

Review of technical scope & specification for final contract document sign off.

Technical Expertise:

Shall be capable of ensuring and executing the engineering activities for civil & structural covering substation / control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, guard house, staff quarters, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to the Solar Power Plant and cabling works. PEM shall be able to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to Civil & Structural design. Knowledge of New technologies and adaptation to the business for economical cost effective solutions. Sensitivity: LNT Construction Internal Use
