Role Overview
As a Periodontist, your primary focus will be on preventing, diagnosing, and treating periodontal diseases as well as placing dental implants. You will be responsible for conducting thorough examinations, creating treatment plans, and performing surgical and non-surgical procedures to enhance patients dental health.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose periodontal diseases and conditions through examinations and diagnostic tests
- Design and implement treatment plans for patients with periodontal issues
- Perform scaling, root planing, gum grafting, and treatment for oral diseases
- Utilize implants to replace missing teeth and restore function
- Advise patients on proper oral hygiene and care
- Stay updated with advancements in periodontics and integrate them into practice
Requirements
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Completed a residency in periodontics
- Active dental license in the state of practice
- Experience in periodontal procedures and treatments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development
