Job Description
- Experience with Piping test pack review Line Walk down, Punch listing and witness Pressure testing.
- Reviewing WPS, PQR , and welder Qualifications
- Confirming correct WPS is applied as per the weld Map.
- Witnessing Mechanical / radiographic testing of weld Qualifications
- Edge Preparation of base material
- Fit up and alignments of Joint
- Qualifications of welder
- Confirming proper consumables are being used including material and diameters
- Confirming proper cleaning between passes
- Confirming proper machine settings
- Ensuring proper preheat and PWHT set up and performance
- Verifying welders identification on completed welds
- Radiographic technique and radiographic review
- Dye penetrant
- Magnetic penetrant
- Harness test
- Positive material identification test
- Onsite chemical test
- Crack depth indication
- Shop inspections
- Verifying proper handling and issuance of consumables
- Reviewing MTR for base material and consumables
- Confirming traceability of materials (Alloy, low temperature , carbon steel , pressure retaining components , and other critical materials
- Monitor shop welding documentation
- Inspection of cladding processes and clad material
- Witness pressure tests hydrostatic and pneumatic
Qualifications
Bachelors / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10-12 years of experience as piping welding inspector from the client side and oil & gas Industries / Third Party Inspection companies
CSWIP 3.1, 3.2.1 PCN Level 2 in UT.
Additional Information
Mandatory Experience with Piping test pack review Line Qwalk down, Punch listing and witness Pressure testing.
Should be good with communication skills and preferred worked with third party inspection companies
