Job Summary
The Planning and Execution Project Manager (PM) is tasked with overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring successful implementation while adhering to budget, scope, and timeline constraints. This role demands exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively plan, coordinate, and execute projects. The PM will also focus on achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducting performance evaluations to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning:
- Develop and detail comprehensive project plans, including objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- Create and maintain project schedules and Gantt charts to monitor timelines and dependencies.
- Identify potential risks and devise strategies for mitigation.
- Define, track, and analyze KPIs to measure and drive project performance and success.
- Project Execution:
- Oversee and control project progress to ensure alignment with plans and budgets.
- Manage resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials effectively.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Address and resolve issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
- Monitor KPIs, make necessary adjustments, and ensure targets are achieved.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
- Proactively communicate project progress, updates, and challenges.
- Manage expectations and address concerns to maintain stakeholder satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to detect and address defects.
- Track quality-related KPIs to uphold high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Evaluation:
- Regularly assess project performance against KPIs and goals.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process enhancements and future improvements.
- Utilize performance data to inform decision-making and foster continuous improvement.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience with a proven record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Strong skills in organization, planning, and time management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven capability to lead and motivate project teams.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
- Experience in setting, tracking, and achieving KPIs, along with conducting performance evaluations.
