You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for HV cable installations in the offshore marine sector. The role requires a deep understanding of high-voltage cable systems, project management, and the unique challenges associated with offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS), using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify project dependencies, critical paths, and potential risks.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and update forecasts.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports, highlighting key achievements, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project plans.
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a risk register and update it regularly to reflect the current project status.
- Implement risk management processes to minimize project impact.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Manage resource allocation and utilization to optimize project efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to communicate project status and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
- Extensive experience (10-15 years) in planning and scheduling for HV cable projects within the offshore marine sector.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of HV cable systems, offshore installation techniques, and marine operations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
