Main Purpose of the job:
Ensure the competence development of planning team group personnel, the establishment of fit-for-purpose and effective planning practices, and co-operate on the creation of the procedures and processes of the project and the department. Also, will be tasked to ensure that the planning team is resourced with the necessary skills, knowledge and numbers to deliver the requirements of the project/department.
Job Responsibility:
- Participating in the company's training orientation for planning team members, and responsible for training new hires (planning engineers).
- Co-operate in developing related procedures for the planning operations and processes and to standardize reporting.
- To appraise the performance of subordinates and identify or implement training and development needs.
- Co-operate in the development of the staffing plan and execution for the project organization to ensure resources is available.
- Projects Duties:
- Perform Project integrated schedule(s) development, and follow-up.
- Responsible for progress reporting and presentations (internal and external), identifying critical issues, and potential risks, and presenting proposed solutions for the said issues and risks.
- To Build an interactive dashboard that provides multiple layers of knowledge about the assigned project status
- To apply all planning and scheduling techniques as appropriate in accordance with the approved Project Services Execution Plan.
- To establish and promote good working relations with his team, the project staff and the customer.
- To ensure that the Project Services Systems provide the best possible control tools for the supervisory staff on the project that allows them to control their work efficiently
- To handle correspondences (especially claims) with different authorities and stakeholders and prepare all delay analysis reports.
- To ensure that all project stakeholders are aware of any potential threats to completion on schedule, and to propose remedial action.
- Coordinating, organizing, coaching, and developing the planning team for all project internal and external scheduling and reporting requirements.
- Responsible for the coordination of planning team meetings participation in project control meetings and ensuring planning is represented in the project review meetings.
- Responsible partially for the cash flow and invoicing cycle of the project.
- Pursue any other activities within the job scope assigned by his direct supervisor or organization management
Job Requirements:
- Bsc. Engineering (Construction Management, Civil/Mech./Electrical/Arch)
- +8 years experience
- Contractors background Industrial field (Power Generation, Oil & Gas Substation, Industrial factories - Cement, Fertilizersetc.)
- Proven track records with project managements tools/courses and fair knowledge (Construction Management PRMG, PMP, and/or MBA).
