Evaluates, prioritizes, and assigns to subordinate staff routine and specialized installation, repair, and maintenance work orders.- Ensures all plumbing systems are installed and repaired in compliance with trades methods, quality and efficiency standards, manufacturing guidelines, regulations, codes, and project objectives.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex or unique replacement and repair work orders such as those not specifying equipment and operations accurately or clearly on blueprints or drawings.
- Resolves or mitigates conflicts regarding sequencing of work and unforeseen conditions during a project; establishes and implements related recovery plans.
Coordinates with other trades supervisors and management on plumbing work and resources necessary for renovation and construction projects.- Develops and communicates procedures for tool access, maintenance, and tracking.
Maintains knowledge of regulations and codes critical to the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing and piping systems; and communicates relevant information to subordinates.
- Approves and procures parts for the repair and installation of mechanical equipment.
Develops plumbing project plans, to include estimating costs, time, labor, and materials, that are within scope and budget parameters.- Plans, delivers, and oversees the technical training of Plumbers and other subordinate trade staff for plumbing and pipefitting duties.
Researches and recommends replacement plumbing and piping systems and materials based on building and environmental needs.
- Ensures repairs, replacement, or installation of plumbing components are accurately documented in reports, tracking systems, and blueprints or schematics.
Solicits and oversees contracted services within budget and decision-making parameters.- Performs the full range of supervisory duties.

ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:- Knowledge of methods, materials, and practices of the plumbing and pipefitting trades.
Knowledge of regulations, building codes, and the safety and hazard precautions related to plumbing and piping systems.
- Knowledge of the care and use of tools used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and components.
Knowledge of flows, pressure, and capacity of water tanks and lines.- Knowledge of the use and functionality of Microsoft Office Suite software.
Ability to troubleshoot system issues using diagnostic methods and processes of the plumbing and pipefitting trades.
- Ability to create diagrams and drawings that lay out the piping material, sizing, and components necessary to perform piping system installations and modifications.
Ability to read and interpret HVAC, architectural, plumbing, and electrical system blueprints and schematics.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
4-5 years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures including three years performing plumbing installation and repair assignments independently in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential structures.
