Job Description
Wood is currently hiring PMC Senior HSE Engineer (Technical Safety) to be based in client office, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Responsibilities
- Align the HSE systems, policies and procedures in line with the Company Integrated Management System to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Update and communicate all the relevant Safety policies, procedures, and relevant documents to ensure timely implementation
- Propose the specifications of safety equipment and materials to meet the protection requirement needed in the plant
- Identify, and recommend the safety requirements for the technical projects and supplies, to ensure compliance with the company's overall HSE, and safety standards
- Recommend on the interface, records and systems to support the communication and reporting with HSE personnel to uplift the efficiency
- Advice on the training and communication materials to ensure proper and aligned terminologies and concepts are placed, in accordance with most recent Safety practices and policies
- Update the safety industry trends and technology, assess and recommend customized and tailored solutions and recommendations to develop the company's Safety
- Identify, assess and develop the HSE development initiatives and projects to ensure optimal HSE standards, policies and solutions in place to ensure safe operations and assets
- Identify and develop the scope and deliverables of HSE projects, to ensure preparedness of the respective plans and predefined outputs
Audits and Investigation
- Audit and investigate the Safety and HSE performance by the HSE personnel in the company plants and sites to ensure compliance with the company's HSE, and HSE technical directions
- Oversee and participate in the emergency plans; i.e. facility response plan, drilling exercises, etc., to ensure safety requirements are fully addressed within the plan
- Review and assess the HSE inspection to underline and recommend actions to develop the processes and processes
Reliability and Design Studies
- Propose the specifications of safety equipment and materials to meet the protection requirement needed in the plant
- Research and review the safety requirement for the technical projects, plant modifications and other asset or technical integrity studies or projects for the company assets, to ensure through review of the safety aspects and contingency plans
- Collaborate with the other group HSE teams and experts in analyzing and assessing all types of risks and hazardous for all company assets and facilities to align understanding, plans and communications
- Recommend and advise on the safety aspects for any technical failures to ensure addressing the safety barriers in the future design or activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, or any related engineering fields
- Minimum 15 years in HSE management and technical safety engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specializing in safety design offshore related projects
- Extensive experience in offshore installation project
