Portuguese Instructor

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Portuguese and be capable of preparing students for the CIPLE (Certificado Inicial de Portugus Lngua Estrangeira) exam.

• Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Portuguese Language Classes:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Portuguese language lessons to students of various proficiency levels.

Develop customized lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to students needs and goals.

Prepare Students for the CIPLE Exam: Provide focused training and guidance to students preparing for the CIPLE exam.

• Familiarize students with the CIPLE exam format, content, and strategies for success.

Conduct practice tests and mock exams to assess student readiness and provide constructive feedback.

Evaluate Student Progress: Assess students language skills through regular evaluations and provide feedback to help them improve.

• Monitor and track students progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to meet their learning objectives.

Maintain a Positive Learning Environment:

• Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that motivates students to learn and achieve their language goals.

Address any student concerns or difficulties promptly and effectively.

• Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Portuguese, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required.

Experience:

• Proven experience in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language, preferably with experience in preparing students for the CIPLE exam.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective language teaching strategies.

• Skills:

Excellent command of the Portuguese language, both written and spoken.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.

• Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching platforms.

Certifications:

• Relevant teaching certifications or qualifications in Portuguese language instruction are a plus.

• Additional Information:

* This is a freelance position, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work remotely.

• Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
