Flux Resources is seeking a Power Generation Manager to join one of our clients on full time direct-hire basis. This role will require candidates to deploy and be on-site at Camp Doha, Qatar. .

Per Diem/Expenses: All housing and transportation will be provided.
Location: Camp Doha, Quatar.
Hours Worked Weekly: Qatar work week is 48 hours. Candidate will normally work 60. Straight time is paid for anything over 48 hours.

Overview
Power Generation Manager is the leader of the CARE Doha Platform team of power plant operators, technicians, engineers, and other staff who work together to run and maintain the power generation facilities.
Major Job Activities
Description
- Amongst their responsibilities are planning and scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly activities; monitoring and controlling performance and efficiency; ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Perform duty 24X7 so that power generation remains uninterrupted.
- Providing regular reports and feedback.
- Supervise and train skilled, semi-skilled, and apprentice personnel to ensure the safe and efficient execution of assigned work involving installation, operation, removal, maintenance, and repair of all power generation equipment
- Review service orders and work orders related to power generation and ensure they are completed on time, staffed properly, and the quality of work meets approved standards
- Estimate amount of work hours, materials, parts, and supplies needed
- Maintain database of all power generation activities and keep records of materials, parts, tools, and supplies received, used, and in stock
- Schedule and coordinate power generation switching and shutdowns with appropriate trades and government personnel
- Secure the cooperation of other trades managers and instill within assigned employees the cooperative attitude necessary for working closely with other O&M and construction trade workers
- Perform load calculations to properly size power generators for various types of facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Material & Equipment Directly Used
- Maintenance repair and test equipment, lifting devices, including bridge cranes material handling equipment
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in power engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Possess a professional license or certification such as the Power Engineer Certification (PEC) or the Certified Power Engineer (CPE).
- Must possess a Secret Security Clearance
- Valid Driver's License
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages Power Generation department.
Working Conditions
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 25lbs continuously and 50lbs intermittently. Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods. Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
