What we're looking for:Our Senior Account Executives run mid-size accounts, providing insights-driven strategies, strengthening client & partner agency relationships, and collaborating with cross-departmental teams while managing a junior team.The individual should understand the power of integrated media and can think creatively to solve problems. The candidate requires a forward-thinking ability to identify communication, digital and social trends and put these into practice for our client's communication strategies and plans. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial spirit to client work and develops new, creative solutions to transform their clients communications practices with passion in a fast-paced environment.
To Succeed in This Role, You Need To:
- To oversee & perform basic public relations, writing, media, organizational, research and production skills.
- To handle a broad variety of tasks with a high degree of independence and sound judgment.
- To play a primary role in implementing work on client accounts and projects.
- To handle direct client contact with the potential to become a good programme presenter and adviser.
- To manage media monitoring solutions as necessary.
- Manage a team of AE's.
- Take ownership of client relationships, creating and implementing integrated comms strategies.
- Always up-to-date with today's media landscape.
- Motivate and manage junior team members (e.g. AE's, community managers) with their day-to-day, and career growth, while efficiently communicating and managing up to the directors.
- Manages client expectations effectively.
- Plans and develops Strategy (across digital channels, content, campaigns & connections) with various stakeholders.
- Understands business KPIs, their effects and how to set and achieve them.
- Meets with clients regularly to align on overall strategy, present work done and insights/research that can help the brand achieve digital marketing success.
- Deeply understands brand insights, customer segmentation, and target needs to steer actionable comms briefs. Thus, leading to effective campaigns and presentations.
- Ensures timely and effective service delivery to clients.
- Develops presentations for clients relative to campaign status.
- Keeps team(s) appropriately informed and involved in projects.
- Provides leadership in developing and presenting new campaigns and plans for potential/existing clients.
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within and across company offices and practice areas.
- Delivers strong analysis, creative ideas, strategies and concepts to new comms campaigns and projects.
- Anticipates and assists in developing solutions to client problems.
- A broadly capable writer and editor, able to generate a range of materials that require minimal editing and edit the work of others.
- Acts by company policies and procedures at all times.
- Is familiar with the company's vision and exemplifies the company's values and ethics.
- To perform day-to-day account work confidently and competently.
- To work effectively with team members to implement assignments on budget and on deadline, balancing competing priorities.
- To be fully familiar with the group's communications plans for accounts, understand and track clients businesses.
- To liaise between clients, outside suppliers and other internal and external contacts.
- To develop and sustain positive and professional relationships with client contacts.
- To identify and propose ways to advance team, group, agency and client interests.
- To develop the ability to conceptualize communication strategies and implementation tactics.
- To routinely apply to understand budget development and monitoring.
- To contribute to budget development where appropriate.
- To manage time for optimum productivity and maximum billability.
- To understand and manage billing and activity reporting processes.
- To meet billability targets established for the account executive position.
- Complete timesheets daily and submits them on time.
- To draft effective, professional documents for clients.
- To implement events for clients.
- To be competent at using internal and external research capabilities and preparing in-depth analyses.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of related, client-facing industry experience managing the making or delivery of great comms.
- Ideally, several different account experiences delivering communication strategies, with a focus on corporate, government & brand.
- Demonstrable knowledge of client and Agency operations and working knowledge of Ogilvy's capabilities.
- Strong background in the strategy and development of PR programs and providing strategic/solid thinking to clients.
- Curious, a lifelong learner.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Experience forming strong client relationships at the lower-to-mid levels.
- Demonstrated capability to get things done on budget and on time.
- Developing commercial abilities & business & financial acumen.
- An understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency's process as it relates to the client's business
- Strong internal relationships (particularly with the creative team).
- A good listener is someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly).
- Accountability and calm, confident presence.
- You will also bring strong skills in research, analysis and trend identification.
- Excellent writing and communication skills Bilingual / Arabic and English are favourable.
- Solid media relations, KSA and regional media, with a strong understanding of the Government sector media landscape.
