Position Summary
A European family is looking for a Nanny-Teacher to provide childcare, educational support, and engaging play activities for their children. This role combines the duties of a nanny, an educator, and a playmate, ensuring the children's well-being, academic progress, and social development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties:
- Provide attentive and loving care to the children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
- Assist with daily routines like dressing, bathing, and bedtime.
Educational Support:
- Plan and implement appropriate educational activities and lessons.
- Help with homework and school assignments.
- Foster a love of learning through engaging teaching methods.
- Track and report the children's academic progress and milestones to the parents.
Playmate Activities:
- Organize and participate in creative and stimulating play activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Encourage physical activity and healthy play habits.
- Arrange playdates and social activities to promote social skills and friendships.
- Introduce and engage the children in hobbies and interests that match their personalities.
Developmental Support:
- Monitor and support the children's emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Teach and reinforce good manners, etiquette, and positive behavior.
- Provide a balanced schedule of educational, recreational, and rest periods.
Communication:
- Maintain open and regular communication with the parents about the children's activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other household staff to ensure a harmonious and efficient household environment.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably with VIP families.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
