Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for freight forwarding services.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitiveness.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing models that meet customer needs and company profitability targets.
Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective shipping methods.
- Prepare and present cost estimates and pricing proposals to management and customers.
- Monitor and adjust pricing based on changes in market conditions and operational costs.
Carrier Negotiation:
- Negotiate rates and service terms with carriers and other logistics providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to secure the best rates and service levels.
- Evaluate carrier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Data Management:
- Maintain and update pricing databases and systems.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing data across all platforms including CW1.
- Generate reports and provide insights to management on pricing performance.
Customer Support:
- Work closely with the sales to address customer inquiries and provide pricing support.
- Assist in resolving pricing-related issues and disputes.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all pricing activities.
- Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with pricing software (CW1) and logistics management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
