Duties & Responsibilities (Shall include but not be limited to): Keeping Operations informed of any situations that require immediate health, safety and welfare actions and is fully authorized to make any decisions to prevent injury, loss of life, damage to equipment or loss of drilling integrity. Provide onsite support to rigs during extended down time repairs and regulatory inspections to assist in their successful outcome. Focal point for all well control equipment and coordinate major well control related activities supporting ARO operations. Provide technical expertise for operational and maintenance improvements in all matters relating to well control equipment. Oversee all Performance related activities and ensure maintenance of all onboard well control systems are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Ownership of all ARO well control operational procedures and continually review same to ensure that industry best practice is met. Liaise with Saudi Aramco Well Control Committee to ensure ARO are compliant with SAWCM latest edition. Liaise with Well Control Equipment OEM s in overseeing major overhaul and recertification at OEM facilities. Provides expert advice on specifications, repair procedures, resources, and troubleshooting, etc. Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment by providing guidance to the rig personnel. Participate in development of upgrade projects and new installations and modifications as appointed.
