Job Purpose:
The jobholder will be responsible for providing and reviewing all ingredient listings and allergen information and ensuring the nutritional and labelling compliance are fulfilled. The role is responsible for overseeing all specifications and labelling procedures at Food Point.
Key Result Areas:
- Conduct nutritional analysis including Ingredient Listing, Allergen Declaration, and Label Creation for both new and existing food items to ensure alignment with customer specifications and adherence to local and GCC standards for all food items.
- Coordinate team meetings by prioritizing tasks and effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely completion of all projects.
- Conduct comprehensive sensory evaluations by preparing standardized food samples to ensure products meet customer preferences and to maintain high-quality standards.
- Verify the resolution of internal compliance audit findings and promptly address identified deviations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and continuous improvement in processes.
- Improve the in alignment with internal audit processes by meticulously reviewing product specifications, ingredients, allergen statements, and packaging artwork to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
- Stay abreast with the latest labelling regulations and requirements to ensure all product packaging complies with current standards, providing accurate and clear information to consumers while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensure staff adherence to comprehensive training programs on food safety protocols and quality control procedures to maintain high standards and reduce the risk of non-compliance.
Job Context:
The role involves maintaining stringent quality standards while navigating dynamic operational demands. Efforts are focused on optimizing labelling, health & dietetics information and specification procedures for increased efficiency, alongside ongoing enhancements to product specifications for seamless accessibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Food Science related field.
- Certifications/Licensure (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a food industry environment
Skills:
- Knowledge of nutritional analysis software
- Knowledge of legislation around food labelling
- Ability to complete all tasks efficiently with excellent attention to detail
