What we need:
As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient with the required quality.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Evaluate materials suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements for materials
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Devise, implement and oversee procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
- Analyze drawings and subtract important details needed in the purchasing process
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department as well as cross-functional teams, including logistics and engineering, to achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or Supply Chain.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing facility. However, we also welcome Fresh graduates with a degree in engineering who have completed a co-op or internship in supply chain.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
