Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Executive - Supply Chain Management role is to efficiently oversee purchasing activities, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and smooth operational support within the company's procurement framework. This involves maintaining positive supplier relationships, evaluating supply options, and adhering to procurement policies while also focusing on client satisfaction.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Objectives:

  • Supervise and lead the purchasing department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company standards
  • Plan and strategize equipment, services, and supplies procurement to meet organizational needs effectively
  • Evaluate, compare, and approve products and services for purchase, considering cost-effectiveness and quality
  • Manage inventories meticulously, maintaining accurate records and pricing information
  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers, fostering positive supplier relations and negotiating contracts
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cost analyses, and reports to monitor and optimize procurement processes

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee timely distribution of stock to various departments based on demand or requisitions
  • Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to measure customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly
  • Respond to escalations and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintain agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Streamline logistics and distribution processes to minimize delivery times and enhance operational efficiency

Client Experience:

  • Ensure that purchases align with client expectations and company standards for quality and efficiency
  • Maintain open communication channels with clients regarding procurement needs and satisfaction levels
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor on procurement matters
  • Continuously strive to enhance the client experience through proactive problem-solving and attentive service
  • Monitor and address client feedback to improve procurement processes and satisfaction levels
  • Provide training and support to clients on procurement tools and processes to enhance their experience and efficiency

Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field

  • 4-6 years of experience
