We are recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong technical background to join one of our projects with an innovative leader in the Defense and Aerospace sectors, specializing in advanced telecommunications and security systems.
Job Description
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the sourcing of highly specialized technical components, including hardware, PCBs, software, and IT resources. Given the complexity and security requirements of these projects, we are looking for someone with deep technical knowledge and the ability to engage with engineering teams to align procurement strategies with technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to defense and aerospace technical requirements.
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers for high-quality components, with a focus on hardware, PCBs, software, and IT.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and security standards.
- Evaluate suppliers for cost-effectiveness, delivery timelines, and risk management to maintain optimal procurement processes.
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, and project management teams to align procurement with project specifications and timelines.
Profile / Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on technical components within the defense or aerospace sectors.
- Technical background (e.g., engineering degree or equivalent technical training) to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience sourcing hardware, PCBs, software, and IT resources.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Security clearance is required for this role.
