Procurement Manager (General)

A seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management within the real estate development sector. With a strong track record of managing procurement processes across construction, facilities management, and development projects, the role requires deep industry knowledge and a strategic approach to cost management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of real estate development cycles, from land acquisition to project completion, and will be proficient in negotiating contracts, managing supply chains, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process for real estate development projects, including construction materials, subcontractors, equipment, and services required for project completion.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure competitive pricing, high-quality standards, and timely deliveries.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors and contractors, ensuring that contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and project specifications.
  • Cost Control & Budget Management: Monitor procurement budgets and project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and work closely with the finance and project management teams to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety requirements and environmental policies, while mitigating procurement-related risks.
  • Market Research & Strategic Sourcing: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, analyze market trends, and recommend innovative procurement strategies to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project managers, architects, engineers, and construction leads, to understand project needs and timelines, ensuring procurement aligns with project goals.
  • Inventory & Logistics Management: Oversee the management of materials and supplies, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of goods to construction sites and project locations.

The role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation skills, the ability to work under pressure, and an in-depth understanding of the complexities of procurement within real estate development. A proven ability to streamline procurement processes and drive cost efficiencies is essential for success.
