Job Description

Responsibilities

Developing procurement strategies and policies

Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts

Identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving down procurement costs

Overseeing the procurement process from sourcing to final delivery

Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations

Analyzing market trends and making recommendations for improvements

Monitoring inventory levels and managing supplier performance

Training and supervising procurement staff

Reporting on key procurement metrics and performanceindicators

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field

7 to 10 years of experience in procurement

Previous experience in procurement or purchasing roles

Strong negotiating and communication skills

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of supply chain management principles

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

International exposure, preferably in Africa is a plus
