Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to oversee our company's purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating goods and services that meet the company's quality standards and budget. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a thorough understanding of supply chain management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and cost savings.
Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful purchasing decisions.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to reduce costs and enhance quality.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible value.
  • Manage contract renewals and ensure all contractual obligations are met by both parties.
Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise with suppliers regarding contract terms or delivery.
  • Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Track and manage the delivery of goods and services to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data.
Monitor and control procurement budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.
Provide regular updates to senior management on procurement status and any potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and internal policies.
Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement contingency plans as needed.
Work closely with other departments, such as finance, production, and logistics, to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Provide procurement expertise and support to various projects and initiatives within the company.
Foster a collaborative and transparent work environment to enhance overall company performance.
  • Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
