Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategies to meet those needs effectively.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to forecast procurement requirements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Process purchase orders and ensure that all procurement activities are documented and tracked accurately.
  • Monitor order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to discrepancies or delays.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supplier risks and market volatility.
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize spending.
  • Monitor budgetary constraints and ensure procurement activities remain within budget.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in managing complex procurement projects and supplier relationships.
In-depth understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and industry regulations specific to the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
