JOB SUMMARY
Procurement Specialist will work closely with senior procurement professionals to support the procurement process, vendor management, and cost-saving initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Procurement Activities:
- Assist in the execution of the procurement strategy and objectives.
- Work with the Procurement Manager to identify suppliers, obtain quotes, and issue purchase orders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Vendor Communication and Management:
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
- Maintain vendor records, including contact information, performance evaluations, and certifications.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers under the guidance of senior procurement staff.
Sourcing and Market Research:
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and products that align with the company's procurement needs.
- Assist in analyzing market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make informed sourcing decisions.
Cost Control and Budget Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring procurement budgets and expenditure.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities and vendor performance.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased products and services meet quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical sourcing guidelines.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on procurement best practices, industry trends, and relevant regulations.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance procurement skills and knowledge.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 years experience in Procurement.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in SAP Ariba Procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of procurement.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with international suppliers and stakeholders.
