Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategic:

  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential suppliers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and support performance monitoring.
  • Aid in the supplier onboarding process, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for indirect procurement categories.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and service quality.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and supplier options.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and prepare recommendations for procurement decisions.
  • Aid in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Track contract expiration dates and support the contract renewal process
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and track progress against targets.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance metrics.
  • Assist in developing procurement budgets and forecasts.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.

Operational:

  • Process purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.

Procurement Reporting:

  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for procurement function to meet department goals and department requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Provide reports and participate in procurement review discussions.
  • Review market reports on price trends and material trends; coordinate with the Procurement Manager and internal stakeholders to define future-focused procurement plans.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in indirect procurement, supply chain, or a related field
