About the Role
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing overall procurement activities and overseeing the related operations performed by the procurement officers team. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with policies, and optimizing supplier relationships to achieve the best value for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process procurement transactions in M3 and Lotus Notes.
- Review ABC analysis reports and ensure A&B suppliers provide credit and maintain service quality.
- Obtain quarterly purchase forecasts from regional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations to maintain materials safety stocks.
- Manage workload distribution and resource efficiency.
- Oversee regional forecasting, sourcing, and logistics using SAP Ariba.
- Develop and implement procurement best practices.
- Maximize savings through effective negotiations and timely purchase order processing.
- Close open orders and manage advance payments.
- Source and negotiate optimal purchase packages.
- Identify alternative suppliers to meet business needs.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable for timely invoice payments.
- Maintain procurement records and address discrepancies.
- Conduct supplier meetings and document action plans.
Qualifications
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Procurement certifications (e.g., CIPP, CCMP) are a plus.
Required Skills
- Understanding of procurement processes and sourcing methods.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in procurement functions and PC literacy.
- Strong negotiation skills.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management and/or procurement.
