Procurement - Welding
Machinary is responsible for managing the procurement process for welding machinery and related components. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that purchases meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the industrial or machinery sector, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Supplier Sourcing and Management:- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for welding machinery and related components.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Procurement and Negotiation:- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for welding machinery, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing.
Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contract terms.- Prepare and issue purchase orders, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Inventory Management:- Monitor and manage inventory levels of welding machinery and components to ensure optimal stock levels.
Analyze usage patterns and forecast demand to prevent stock outs or overstock situations.- Coordinate with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure efficient storage and handling of purchased goods.
Quality Assurance:- Ensure that purchased welding machinery and components meet the companys quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues or non-conformity with suppliers.- Conduct supplier audits and inspections as needed to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Market Research and Analysis:- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and pricing fluctuations related to welding machinery.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, technologies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.- Analyze and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.
Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier correspondence.
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key metrics and any issues or challenges.- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and purchasing.
Collaboration and Communication:- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, and finance teams, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
Provide support and advice on procurement-related matters, including cost analysis, product specifications, and supplier recommendations.- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of purchased goods.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the welding or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
