Role Overview
Based in the Middle East, Filmmaster's Production Director, MEA, is responsible for helping to grow Filmmaster's production offering in the region. They will oversee and manage the technical and operational resources required to deliver a wide range of projects, from large-scale public events to corporate activations; from intimate exhibitions to city-wide Festivals.
Responsibilities Include
- Growing and consolidating Filmmaster's reputation for excellent production delivery.
- Personally overseeing and managing various elements of large-scale projects from planning through to execution as required.
- Supervising the output of our technical and operations team to ensure high standards and quality of delivery.
- Maintaining productive and mutually beneficial ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers.
- Growing a roster of freelance practitioners, with specific emphasis on the engagement of local talent.
- Leading and supervising teams to design innovative delivery solutions to complex creative or operational challenges.
- Leading and/or supervising the development of the detailed plans for all of the technical and operational elements required to enable and flawlessly deliver the creative output of our projects.
- Defining the ongoing technical and operational systems and processes to ensure optimal project efficiency and productivity.
- Supervising our technical and operations teams in the delivery of their duties, including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, quality, reporting, tender specification, tender evaluation and contract management.
- Ensure the application of robust risk management strategies in relation to the delivery of our projects.
- Oversee our adherence to OH&S strategies in relation to the technical and operational delivery of our projects, and ensure staff and subcontractors are aware of and abide by OH&S requirements.
- Proactively support, and ensure that contractors and subcontractors support the sustainability guidelines underpinning our work.
- Produce internal update reports and presentations as required.
- Contribute to, share and promote Filmmaster's positive culture, values, procedures and processes.
- Lead, motivate and support our team to achieve production excellence within an often demanding and fast-paced environment.

- Highly organised, with exceptional administration skills and attention to detail.
- Deep knowledge of technical and operational aspects of production and well versed in budget planning, building and reporting.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines and provide self-direction.
- Excellent written, verbal, persuasive and interpersonal skills.
- Previous significant experience managing employees across multiple departments/locations/projects.
- Skilled at fostering a team culture based on respect, optimism and energy, whilst also being firm and decisive about procedures, deadlines and goals.
