Duties:
The Production Engineer duties are as follows:
- The Analysis and breakdown of EBOM.
- Convert EBOM to MBOM.
- Establish and generate MBOM's: WBS, SOW, workflow, resource requirements, Work Instructions, and other production planning activities.
- Establish and practically implement best workmanship practices to achieve the critical design intent's integrity of all the manufacturable components undertaken by the Company Production Department.
- The Production Engineer will work in co-operation with the Company Engineering Design Team.
Responsibilities:
- Support and be compliant to Calidus Management System (Quality, Organizational Safety & Health, Environment & Sustainability, Information Security, Flight Safety, Code of Conduct) and company policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Follow organizational safety and health rules and work in safe manner.
- Perform other jobs related duties as assigned
- Design/generate special tools, jigs and fixtures, to enable a functioning assembly production line system with assembly work instructions.
- To identify critical functions of all sub system within and EBOM.
- Generate assembly work instructions form an MBOM.
- Perform other jobs related duties as assigned.
- Interact between the Production Manager and the Engineering Design Team.
- Execute design tasks according to schedule.
- Generate work PMR/PTC or similar type documents as required by production.
- Design to cost.
- CAD Design of equipment.
- Generate technical/process documents as required.
- Ensure production line balancing by aligning assembly tasks at the applicable assembly stations in order to meet production targets.
- Support the development of the production line.
- Interact with the production team to ensure tasks are executed according to the data pack and QC requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- And / or
A Master's degree, diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering field will be preferred
Experience:
- Automotive production line support and design (2 - 5 Years experience).
- Armored vehicle assembly (5 years experience in related field as preferred).
- CAD Design. (Siemens NX).
- Mechanical engineering design and calculations.
- Mechanical Technician knowledge/background.
- Electrical Technician knowledge/background.
