Job Title:Production Engineer (Fit-Out and Carpentry/ Exhibitions Exp.)
Job Overview:
Seeking a skilled and experienced Production Engineer with a strong background in fit-out and carpentry. This role is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and supervision of production operations in our fit-out and carpentry projects. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of both the production and design aspects of carpentry, interior fit-out work, and will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Management
- Develop production schedules and resource allocation plans for fit-out and carpentry projects.
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure design specifications align with production capabilities.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Implement quality control processes to ensure finished products meet required standards.
- Monitor work quality, resolve any production issues, and suggest improvements to enhance workmanship.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance to the carpentry and fit-out teams on production methods, tools, and materials.
- Ensure correct interpretation and implementation of technical drawings and design plans.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Enforce safety standards and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Inventory & Materials Management
- Manage procurement and inventory of materials and tools for production.
- Work with suppliers to maintain quality, cost, and timeliness of materials.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and support carpentry and fit-out team members to ensure high productivity and quality.
- Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work environment for the production team.
Project Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor expenses to stay within project cost constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or a related field).
- Minimum of [3 years] experience in production engineering, with a focus on fit-out and carpentry and Exhibitions .
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, woodwork production, and interior fit-out materials and methods.
- Familiarity with CAD software and design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations in construction and production.

- Experience with Lean manufacturing or similar production methodologies.
