Your Role at Cabot:
Sets up and operates chemical equipment used in the manufacture of Masterbatch compounds. Performs all tasks in a safe manner and following plant safety policies and procedures. Employees at this level are experienced and able to perform all aspects of the process cycle.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Measures and adds feedstock and other ingredients; operates equipment according to specifications and safety standards. May need to modify production formula based on instructions.
Adjusts controls to regulate variables as per instructions. Performs setup procedures to prepare systems for operation.
Stops production line in order to change extrusion filters. Notifies team lead regarding equipment malfunctions.
Ensures smooth operation of bagging lines. Re-packages, labels and weighs unused raw materials and disposes of waste at the end of the production run.
Depending on location, may use business management system to enter work orders and requisitions.
Maintains a clean and safe work area. Follows all safety guidelines and ensures the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Reports incidents and near-misses. Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.What You Will Bring to Cabot:
Minimum of 2-3 years of chemical operation experience is required
Electrical knowledge with FLT UAE license will be preferred
Manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to details. General mechanical aptitude. Ability to understand and modify production formula, as needed.
High level of safety awareness and attention to details.
Written, verbal communication and active listening skills. Capacity to cross-train with other operating units. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
Must follow work schedules; be orderly and keep area clean.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Depending on location, may need to be certified in the operation of chemical equipment according to local legislation.
