Job Description
Scope 1: Day-to-day Operations
Determine the best way to use available resources to meet production goals efficiently
Inspect raw materials to ensure that they meet quality standards before they are used in production
Make sure that all necessary machines are functioning properly and being used efficiently to avoid breakdowns and delays in planned output
Monitor output to ensure that it meets company standards for quality and customer requirements
Keep records of production activity such as costs, labor hours and equipment usage
Coordinate with other departments such as Warehouse and Finished Products to ensure that stock levels are acceptable and maintain the smooth operation of the production processes
Foster strong working relationship with Maintenance Team to enable immediate support for equipment issues
Communicate with Production Manager for status updates and production reports.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Scope 2: Worker/Operator Supervision
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, training and development of plant workers/ machine operators and support staff to create effective teams and efficient shift production.
Creating schedules for all Finished Products Section workers and monitoring their progress to ensure that projects are completed on time
Ensure workers/ operators have the information, tools, and resources necessary to meet production requirements.
Direct workers/ operators on how to perform their tasks, providing feedback, and resolving problems that arise
Maintains accurate time and attendance record, and holds direct reports to the same standard.
Conduct periodic reviews of all direct reports with support from Production Manager and HR.
Support and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations, monitoring their proper implementation at all times.
