Overview
As Project Accountant in the Property Asset Management service line, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the fiscal integrity of our property portfolio. This position involves financial reporting, budget management, and collaboration with property managers and stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of property budgets, providing input on income and expense projections.
- Monitor budget adherence and report on variances to ensure financial goals are met.
- Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Oversee rent collection and tenant account reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue growth potential, and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in evaluating property investment opportunities and ROI assessments.
- Assist in audits of property financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
- Coordinate with property managers to approve and process payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Verify contractor invoices and track contract compliance.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns related to financial matters professionally and promptly.
- Assist in lease administration, including rent escalations and renewals.
- Other tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Prior experience with Yardi property management software
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work through periods of high workload.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of regional business culture and regulations.
- The ability to understand and make use of computers and information technology (Knight Frank internal systems).
- Certifications and Licenses: None.
- Software: Microsoft Office programs to a proficient level, with advanced proficiency with Excel. Knowledge of accounting software required.
- Language skills: Fluency in English, written and verbal. Fluency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
- Travel: Flexible attitude towards travelling.
