Job Overview
The Project Controls Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing project management processes to ensure successful and timely project delivery. This position requires a strong background in project controls, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement project control systems, including scheduling, cost estimation, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish realistic project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct regular project status reviews and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and deviations from project plans, offering proactive solutions to mitigate issues.
- Manage change control processes to ensure modifications align with project objectives and are appropriately documented.
- Foster collaboration among project teams to enhance overall project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advise the various business leads and project managers on correctives actions for issues, risks and recovery plans.
- Prepare monthly analysis and reports on expenditure, progress, commitments, budget performance and schedule performance.
- Ensure project managers and teams input data into the various GECO systems (Primavera & SAP) for full visibility and transparency.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration).
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in project controls, with a minimum of 12 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of project management best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
