Position Summary:

The position of Project Engineer is part of the technical team and includes problem-solving, customer support, and project coordination. Scope involves knowledge of electrical connections, bus systems, automation systems, control systems, and RF communications. The Project Engineer reports directly to the Director, Operations & Development.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Receive and analyze project and mock-up requirements from Presales and Sales.
  • Contribute to the design and engineering of project-specific system solutions.
  • Planning and resource management for project implementation.
  • Customer/ Partner relationship management.
  • Preparing and compiling project reports regularly.
  • Coordination with third-party installers.
  • Handling system configuration and commissioning.
  • Supervision of system installation.
  • Establish constant communication and reporting with Partners/Customers.
  • Supervision and management of technicians and coordination of work with embedded system programmers.
  • Server configuration.
  • Manage and handle testing of returned Products (within the RMA Policies).
  • Occasional travel to other countries, specifically to KSA, as may be necessary to fulfil your responsibilities and conduct regular site visits to support partners/clients. The site visits may include staying onsite for 1-3 weeks depending on the project stage and client requirements.
  • Technical training services.
  • Operator training services.

This role may require flexible timings to support our global operations and project deployments.

Additional Tasks may include:

The following tasks may be required subject to business demands and requirements, particularly in regions other than the Middle East where not all operational roles are filled with dedicated team members.

  • Creation and amendments to programs and logic to resolve support requests or amends to mock-up requirements.
  • Install and configure INTEREL Server including:
  • DB
  • Web App
  • Augmented Reality App
  • Services
  • Integrations
  • Presales support
  • Analysis of requirements & documentation
  • Assist with the creation of BOQ
  • Online and Onsite help desk support.

Organizational Hierarchy:

  • Direct reporting to the Director, Operations & Development in terms of responsibilities, schedules, HR-related topics, and status reports.
  • Work closely with Logic engineers to ensure on-time scheduling of program requirements.
  • Work closely with the R&D team for support queries related to bugs or new development requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handover and keep Sales up to date with support status for their given projects when required.

Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Electronics or Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Electrical and electronics systems, home automation, building automation systems, or ELV systems or in construction of the above systems.
  • Relevant experience from UAE or the region.
  • A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Visio is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and embedded systems is a plus.
  • Lighting control.
  • HVAC control Data networking/ IT.
  • Structured cabling.
  • Windows Server, SQL, Virtualization, system backup, system maintenance.
