Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to lead the execution of XS, S and M projects & services and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Doha Qatar. You will be mainly accountable for: .Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects. .Planning project execution from start to finish, including all necessary resources, activities, doc-uments, materials, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans. .Periodically reviewing project plan and analyzing critical issues for correction .Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. .Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks, and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Capturing, analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project. .Ensuring that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer. .Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. Coordinating with supply chain management, and successfully procuring required services, materials and equipment for the project from ex-ternal and internal suppliers. Supporting Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes. .Acting as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. .Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders. Assuring ABB commitments to customer are met, in accordance with contract. Using CCRP to collect and manage customer dissatisfaction. Periodically collecting customer feedback besides formal customer satisfaction survey .Monthly presents an account of project status/issues in project reviews. .Reporting status/ progress reports to customer and other stake holders with appropriate de-tail. .Raising potential project issues to relevant stake holders. .Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with domain experience in ABB Automation, instrumentation and Electrification business for Oil and Gas.
  • Minimum 6-year experience in managing automation & instrumentation projects as project manager in ABB Oil & Gas stream
  • Overall, 15 years minimum experience in automation / instrumentation filed in Oil and Gas Domain
  • Project Management certifications / ABB PM programme certification
  • Knowledge of IT/ Digital H/W and S/W, Electrification, Automation solution as applicable to Oil and Gas.
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and all other sources of information and decision making thereof
  • Has good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills as well as decision making capability
