We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager - Digital Technologies to join our IT team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The project manager will be responsible for will be responsible for leading digital initiatives such as Ecommerce and will play a vital role in shaping and improving digital strategy and capabilities for the organization. This role will collaborate with product management teams, business units, technical teams and vendors to develop and implement solutions in line with Business requirements. The PM will keep up to date with new technologies and market trends and provide advice on continuous improvement of digital solutions landscape, with a focus of enhancing customer experience. This role requires good understanding of business models and processes especially in areas of ecommerce, retail, distribution, contact center operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Management: Lead the end-to-end management of digital technology projects, employing industry-standard methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Manage relations with vendors pre and post implementation.
- Digital Technologies Implementation: Oversee the implementation of various digital technologies, including but not limited to software applications, platforms, and systems. Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing systems and processes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancements, process optimization and efficiency gains. Stay abreast of emerging digital technologies and industry trends.
- User Support and Change Management: Liaise with vendors to revolve issues and facilitate the implementation of changes as requested by the business. Ensure that new features align with organizational goals.
- Efficiency and Security: Ensure the efficiency, performance optimization, site security, and data protection of digital platforms, ensuring high availability and uptime. Business Process Evaluation: Evaluate existing business processes against standard E-Commerce/Mobile app functionality. Translate these assessments into functional requirements, document business needs, and conduct Gap Analysis.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Qualification: University Degree or Equivalent Experience.
- Minimum Experience: 8+ years relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, software development life cycle, and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of both B2B and B2C e-commerce environments including order fulfilment processes and delivery processes
- Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and use them in the development of Organizational solutions
- Ability to lead projects and present to large audiences
- Critical-thinking, problem-solving and the ability to plan and prioritize work to manage time effectively and accomplish assigned tasks
