Job Summary:
The Project Manager - Fit Out is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of interior fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and various stakeholders, managing project schedules, and mitigating risks to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including architects, engineers, designers, and contractors.
Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring team members understand their roles and deadlines.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Communicate project progress, issues, and changes effectively.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
Project Execution:
- Oversee all aspects of the fit-out process, from initial design to final handover.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Budget and Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Track and control project costs, identifying and addressing any variances.
Approve project expenditures and invoice payments.Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address issues and challenges promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.
Prepare regular progress reports for clients and senior management.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and stored securely.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on interior fit-out projects.Certifications:
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements.
