Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead and manage our portfolio of one project in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC). As a Project Manager, you will report directly to the Head of AFC Projects and work closely with the teams located in France and Cairo.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance for the portfolio of AFC projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project goals.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies. Oversee project execution, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Team Management: Build and manage project teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, and skills development.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage key stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and internal departments, to establish clear project expectations, manage relationships, and ensure timely resolution of issues or conflicts.
- Collaboration with France Teams: Work closely with the teams located in France, fostering effective collaboration and communication channels to ensure smooth project delivery and knowledge sharing.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage financial aspects of the projects. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address potential issues to minimize project disruptions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project progress reports, executive summaries, and other relevant documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status, milestones, and risks.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in AFC. Leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement in project management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in the field of Automatic Fare Collection or a related industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with clients, senior management, and project teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
