We are seeking a skilled Project Manager (PMC) to lead and oversee complex construction and development projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and government entities, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the clients representative, you will provide expert guidance, manage risks, and ensure all project objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, including resource allocation and risk management strategies.
- Establish governance frameworks and communication protocols for effective project oversight.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to align on project goals.
- Facilitate regular meetings and communications among all stakeholders to monitor project progress.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee all project phases, from design to construction and handover.
- Track project progress against established plans, managing changes and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential project risks, including financial, operational, and safety concerns.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize impacts of potential issues.
- Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Address deficiencies promptly to maintain project integrity.
Financial Management:
- Manage the project budget, ensuring costs are controlled and the project remains within financial parameters.
- Approve invoices, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports for senior management and clients.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations with contractors and suppliers.
Contract Administration:
- Oversee the preparation and management of all project contracts, including procurement and subcontractor agreements.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled and manage disputes or claims that arise.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, payment applications, and other required documentation.
Handover and Closeout:
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed and handed over to the client per contractual agreements.
- Coordinate the final inspection and approval process, ensuring all punch list items are resolved.
- Compile and submit final project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation & maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or engineering industry, ideally in a PMC role.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, and project delivery methods.
Skills:
- Excellent project management abilities, effectively managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
- Ability to effectively manage risks and resolve conflicts.
Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are advantageous.
