Job Purpose:
The Project Senior Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale housing development projects for NHC. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing project portfolios, and ensuring that all projects align with the company's vision of delivering sustainable, high-quality housing. The Senior Director will provide strategic guidance, monitor performance, and ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects in compliance with national standards and NHC's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of complex, large-scale housing projects, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and time requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement project strategies that align with NHC's long-term goals, ensuring that the company remains a leader in housing development.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee multiple housing development projects, ensuring they are integrated, efficient, and deliver expected outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, consultants, and senior management, to ensure project success.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption and ensure successful delivery.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project directors, managers, and engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, efficiency, and excellence.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee project budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and efficient resource allocation across all projects.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to local, national, and international regulations, including environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly reporting to senior management on timelines, risks, and overall project health.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, innovative practices, and sustainability measures in project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- Experience in large-scale real estate or construction project management, with experianse in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing high-value, multi-phase development projects, preferably in housing or urban development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements, permits, and housing development guidelines.
