Youth and Development Consultancy Institute Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.
Based in Cairo, Etijah s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.
Program Background
Etijah s Economic Empowerment Department operates as a dynamic force dedicated to creating enduring positive impact across Egypt. The department strategically focuses on enhancing livelihoods, fostering entrepreneurship, developing employability skills and facilitating social integration through innovative and inclusive programs.
The psychologist will operate within Etijah s Economic Empowerment Program, reporting directly to the Economic Empowerment Program Manager. The primary objective of this consultancy is to provide psychological support and counseling services to the Digitalize Your Business (DYB) Programme beneficiaries in need. The DYB Programme in Greater Cairo supports established enterprises with trainings and technical support in order to transform their businesses from analogue to digital modalities. The project focuses on the integration of digital capacities and tools for the targeted enterprises.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with beneficiaries of the Digitalize Your Business (DYB) Programme based on their needs;
Develop psychological intervention plans for identified cases based on the identified needs;
Monitor and evaluate the impact of counseling sessions on the well-being and resilience of the beneficiaries;
Identify and refer severe cases to appropriate psychological service providers;
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress;
Prepare and submit case reports, case studies, and other documents as needed for all cases.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor degree in psychology. Master s degree will be considered an asset.
Minimum 3-5 years of direct psychosocial/counselling experience working with adults.
Experience in working with migrants and refugees is an asset.
Key Deliverables
The psychological support consultant is expected to provide the following deliverables.
Provide individual and group counselling sessions to participants out of those who have participated in the DYB training rounds based on their needs.
Counseling Reports: Detailed reports summarizing each counseling session, including the topics discussed, progress made, challenges encountered, and future recommendations.
Intervention Plans: Development of personalized intervention plans for each beneficiary based on their needs.
Progress Updates: Regular updates on the progress and outcomes of counseling sessions, highlighting any notable achievements or challenges.
Final Evaluation Report: A comprehensive report at the end of the consultancy period, evaluating the impact of psychological support services on program beneficiaries and providing recommendations for future support.
