Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Executive to assist in the efficient management of purchasing tasks related to Imported Raw Materials. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Jotun Group Purchasing policies, principles, guidelines, as well as Egyptian Import laws and regulations.

The primary objective of this position will be to procure Raw Material, Finished Goods, Direct Packing Materials and will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure optimal delivery service to our customers in order achieve our company objectives.

This position shall be reporting to Senior Purchasing Executive and shall be based in our factory located in 10th of Ramadan City.

Responsibilities:

  • Place and expedite purchase orders for designated Raw material, purchase finished goods, or Packaging material categories, based on agreements made by category managers or other authorized personnel, by Group purchasing guidelines and procedures
  • Coordinate with Group purchasing category managers on material requirements, supplier performance, and quarterly forecasts, following guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in evaluating optimal logistics solutions, considering packaging type and size, lot size, use of distributors, transport, local customs regulations, and local laws., for all raw materials, and communicate the findings to relevant Category Managers.
  • Maintaining existing relationships for designated categories (including supplier audits and participation in supplier meetings on request from Group purchasing Category Managers)
  • Assist Purchasing Manager in updating local parameters in ERP system in accordance with operational purchasing principles.
  • Ensuring that supplier invoice control is carried out and paid in line with company guidelines, And relevant customs regulations.
  • Follow up and report to the Purchasing Manager on agreed Key performance indicators
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding the disposition of Freight related to tracking, routing, dispatching, documents and cargo x uploading
  • Create the IDC (Institutional Deposits Corporation) and submit the documents to the logistics team

  • A Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain and purchasing.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English language.
