Our client is looking for a Python engineer who loves building new products in an iterative, fast-moving environment.
Requirement
- Build, design, modify, and test B2C and B2B products and features using Python and related technologies
- Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.
- Integrate the back ends of our trade and logistics products and services with 3rd party Python-based products
- Work closely with the team to define feature and product specifications leveraging Python, integrations with internal and external ML models, and React
- Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Set direction and goals for the team related to system design, internal ML model integrations, external LLM integrations, and developer efficiency
- Actively advocate for higher product quality and engineering efficiency throughout the organisation
- Explore industry technology trends to help assess and integrate new technologies within our product roadmap
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing back-end solutions or AI system infrastructure in Python
- Minimum 2 years experience with SaaS product development preferably in a B2B environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience with debugging in Python and/or PyTorch
- Demonstrated experience in deploying and hosting products on AWS or similar cloud solutions
- Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.
- Care deeply about the end-user experience and take pride in building products to solve customer needs
- Relentless drive, strong work ethic, and a passion for scaling a dynamic organization
- Experience within international trade or third-party logistics (3PL) would be an asset.
